Faculty and staff seeking to integrate systems, or to provide data from a non-Banner system to the Enterprise Data Warehouse, can request assistance from the Enterprise Data Integration System (EDIS) Group.
Your request for connection may include one, some, or all of the following features:
|Request Type||Examples where this might be used|
|1||Recurring data flow from one system to another (endpoint to endpoint integration)||Your group is implementing a system which needs data from Banner and possibly other systems. You do not need a copy of the data to be backed up to the Enterprise Data Warehouse.|
|2||Recurring data flow from one system, into or out of the Enterprise Data Warehouse||Your group is implementing a system which needs data from Banner and possibly other systems. You need a copy of the data to be backed up to the Enterprise Data Warehouse to support requirements for the business process and possibly Microstrategy reporting.|
|3||One-time data flow from one system or data store into the Enterprise Data Warehouse||Your group kept the data from a decommissioned system so that they could be used for Microstrategy reporting or other uses.|
|4||Integration of two or more data sets||Your group uses Excel to merge together data from StarRes, Atrium and JSA for reconciliation and needs to see differences between the systems’ data sets.|
|5||Review the catalog of data feeds (APIs)||Your system needs student demographic data and has an application programming interface (API) that can accept data. You want to see whether the data are already available in an existing API.|
|6||Other (click the checkbox to see the text block where you can type your requirement)||If your situation is something other than what’s described above, do your best to explain. When we respond to the ticket we’ll have had a chance to see what we can do to help.|
