Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA)

Information Technology Services (ITS) is participating in Adobe's Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA). The ETLA is a three-year membership agreement that provides faculty and staff the most up-to-date version of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, which includes Acrobat DC Pro.

The Adobe ETLA is available to all active faculty, including adjunct faculty, and staff for work purposes.

ETLA License Information

Terms of Use: Mason faculty and staff will have the right to install one copy of Creative Cloud on an enterprise-owned and centrally managed computer and one copy on a personally-owned home computer for their exclusive use which must be solely used for the benefit of George Mason University. Emeritus faculty and Mason retirees are not eligible under the terms of the ETLA.

While access to Creative Cloud Mobile Apps is included in this ETLA, ITS does not currently provide support and installs count as one install.

Students

We do not have any ETLA student licenses available. Students may purchase an Adobe subscription for personal use through purchasing directly with Adobe. Mason students can take advantage of educational pricing on Adobe Creative Cloud at Adobe's Creative Cloud for Students page. However, Adobe Creative Cloud can be found in many computer labs available for student use. Please see the note below regarding student access during COVID-19.

Adobe software in approved lab environments

  • Creative Cloud may be used in lab environments
  • Adobe Pro may not be used in lab environments
  • At the time of the request, please be able to provide the serial number of the machine if going on a Mac or computer hostname if going on a PC

Adobe for Mason Students During COVID-19

Adobe provided temporary at-home access to students and educators at schools and universities that currently make Creative Cloud apps available to students through on-campus labs. Mason made this request, but access expired July 6, 2020. Mason students can take advantage of educational pricing on Adobe Creative Cloud at Adobe's Creative Cloud for Students page if they still require access to Adobe applications.

Adobe VIP License Instructions, Prorated Timeline, and Expiration Date Information

Adobe VIP (Value Incentive Plan) licenses are for users in the Mason community outside of active faculty and staff (i.e. student and non-student wage employees, computer stations being used by more than one user and are not considered computer lab stations, emeritus faculty, and Mason retirees).

SHI is Mason’s re-seller for Adobe Acrobat and Creative Cloud. If you require a VIP license, please reach out to virginiaEDU@shi.com to request a quote for the products you need under Mason’s VIP Agreement. Once you have the quote and want to move forward with a purchase, please enter a Purchase Requisition (PR) into eVA directly to SHI to pay for the items with departmental funds. You must reference VASCUPP contract UVA-AGR-IT-00168-SHI on this Purchase Requisition.

After the Purchase Order is created, please click the orange Adobe Software Request button on the right side of this page to request the software through the form provided. You will not receive your license until this form is completed. In this form, please be sure to check the VIP box under Request Type and provide your Purchase Order information so ITS can tie your order to the license. In the description box, please fill in the full name, NETID, and email address of the intended user for the software. The email address entered will be where the license is deployed to and that user will receive installation steps. If you would like this tied to a departmental email address instead, please provide that as the email address.

Please contact Alex Galantis (agalanti@gmu.edu) if you need assistance with this process or form.

Adobe licenses purchased through our VIP Agreement with SHI follow the following prorated timeline below with an expiration date of April 1, 2021.

You must request access to get Adobe software. Once ITS approves and processes your request, you will receive an email from Adobe with instructions on how to log in and set up your Adobe account. The email will look similar to this:

Adobe Account Set Up Email

You must complete the Adobe account set up in order to access Adobe software. Once you set up your account, you will receive an email from Adobe with the download link for your requested software. Use the link to download and install your requested software. After installation starts, it will ask what type of license you are installing. Select the subscription option

If you encounter any issues, it may be because you may not have administrator rights on your computer to do the install. Contact your departmental IT provider or the ITS Support Center to assist you with completing your download. Once the installation is complete, use your Enterprise account credentials to launch the Adobe software

If you believe you or the user you are requesting to receive Adobe software already has a subscription, the below link may be used to re-install the software. Users MUST already have and be signed into, an Enterprise ID account in order for either link to work
