Dear Patriot:

Information Technology Services (ITS) is introducing a new annual IT Security Awareness Training program for George Mason University employees.

Employees must complete the online video-based training by Monday, December 9, 2019. The training consists of 10 short modules, takes approximately 30 minutes, and does not have to be finished in one sitting.

You can access the online training through Mason Learning, Evaluation, and Performance System (MasonLEAPS). Log in via masonleaps.gmu.edu using your NetID and Patriot Pass Password. Select “IT Security Awareness Training” in the “Your Action Items” box to the right.

This annual training is required by Mason’s IT Security Policy and replaces the questions previously posed (annually) at password renewal. Participation in the training will be logged in the system and reported to managers.

Protecting Mason’s systems and data is a responsibility we all share. By building awareness about cybersecurity risks, we hope to strengthen our defense against cyber threats.
