EXTENDED MAINTENANCE

Impact of the change on users:

The Wi-Fi and wired networks at all campuses and locations, the Virtual Private Network (VPN), phones, and Patriot Virtual Computing & Labs (PVCL) will be intermittently unavailable. Existing phone calls may drop, and VPN and PVCL sessions may also drop, leaving users unable to (re)connect when the VPN and PVCL are unavailable.

Reason for the change:

This maintenance is necessary for Information Technology Services (ITS) to cut over George Mason’s new network infrastructure as a part of the network upgrade project (see  https://its.gmu.edu/2025/01/moving-george-mason-into-the-future/for more details).
