Intermittent Phone Outages on Fairfax Campus During Spring Break

Impact of the change on users: Fairfax Campus

Beginning Monday, March 14 through Friday, March 18, Information Technology Services (ITS) will be upgrading a portion of Mason’s telephone system infrastructure on the Fairfax Campus to address damaged equipment. During this period, some analog and digital phone lines on the Fairfax Campus, including phone lines in elevators, parking decks, offices, and common areas, may be out of service for up to two hours during business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

No disruption to cellular service, desktop computers, or data networks is anticipated. In an emergency, if a phone is not operable, please use a cellular phone to contact 911 or University Police at 703-993-2810.
