Service Summary

When there is an implementation of a new technology solution or a significant architectural modification to a previously approved request for a solution must be processed by the portfolio intake process in order to identify risks associated with the implementation and/or operations of the solution.  After a request has been processed an identified path for implementation will be identified with a start timeline proposal associated with the implementation.

The Technical Business Solution Intake Request must go through Portfolio Intake for analysis, evaluation, and decision-making process. Information Technology Services Business Analysts with the requesting functional office are responsible for coordinating this process.

Getting This Service

Prior to purchasing software or hardware that will impact data management, storage, dissemination, security, involve controlled unclassified or sensitive data, or impact user experience, and to comply with Mason’s procurement policy, the Portfolio Intake process should be initiated via a TeamDynamix request. Once your request has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email with an assigned ticket number. The ticket number is used to identify your request across all review groups and organizations.

Note: Significant architectural changes to software, such as moving the software to a cloud-based solution may require a new Portfolio Intake review.

Requests are processed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
