Microsoft Zoom Plugin for Mac Deprecation
Microsoft is disabling the Zoom Plugin for Macs. The specific timeline for when Microsoft will disable the Zoom plugin has not been specified, so ITS recommends migrating to the Zoom Add-in for Outlook now to avoid any disruptions in your work. There are multiple ways to schedule a Zoom meeting, including from the gmu.zoom.us website, the Zoom Desktop app, and via the Zoom Outlook calendar integrations. Only the Zoom Outlook calendar integrations automatically saves a space on your Outlook calendar. To schedule with the Zoom Outlook plugin, do the following (to schedule with the Outlook Add-in go here)
Step 1
If you already have the Zoom Outlook plugin installed, go to your Outlook calendar in the Outlook desktop application. If not already installed, install it now from https://zoom.us/download.
Step 2
Select Schedule a Meeting in the Outlook calendar Ribbon and choose Schedule a Meeting from the drop-down menu.
Step 3
Select applicable settings. We suggest selecting Generate Automatically for the meeting ID.
Step 4
Enter your invitee’s email addresses and press Send.
